Our story
The very basis of the QAVE started with our founder, Samresh Agrawal vision to add structure and organize the scattered field of video editing.
Samresh, a passion-driven individual while working in the videography industry, realized the profession and the training sector both strongly lacked organization and decided to work towards it.
It all started with teaching video editing in early 2017 at a workshop conducted for the Orange City Photographers Club in Nagpur. That workshop was India’s first ever workshop specially designed for wedding video editing.
Since then what needed to be done to bring structure in the profession of video editing was clear and thus, Quick Academy of Video Editing was born, a training institute completely dedicated to teach not only the technicalities of video editing but also the subtle art of storytelling through videos too.
QAVE’s vision
The video editing profession is currently extremely in-demand and is about to experience yet another boom, still it strongly lacks proper structure.
A student wishing to learn the art of video editing, rarely has a dedicated place to go and that is why they end up taking up unpaid internships with working-professional to “learn-on-the job” and spend a lot of time assisting with the chores and very less on learning.
At the same time, there is a dearth of quality video editors who are well aware of all the basic theories and all the creative aspects of video editing.
We at QAVE aim towards providing a long term solution for both the issues discussed.
With our courses designed to cover the technical aspect of video editing such as dealing with the raw content, understanding the software's, we also pay equal attention to the creative, expressive side of video editing and the art of storytelling through video.

About QUICK ACADEMY founder
SAMRESH AGRAWAL
- Samresh Agrawal, an electronics and communications engineer by training, till the later part of the year 2013, was working a corporate job in sales until a decision to quit was made.
- 2014: After quitting his corporate job, Samresh took up the dealership of a professional grade video editing software developed by Grass Valley Technologies called “Edius” and started tackling the issue of piracy in the software world.
- 2015: While dealing with the software's, Samresh interest in the video editing process developed and he decided to get formally trained in video editing and thus his career as a video editor started.
- 2016: Soon, with Samresh great understanding of the software's and his imaginative storytelling skills, he was getting a lot of work and while being an active part of the industry, he realized the training aspect lacked proper attention and started preparing for a new career turn.
- 2017: It was this year when the first training workshop was conducted and the very base of the Quick Academy of video editing was laid down.
- Later in the year, Samresh conducted India’s first ever wedding video editing workshop for Orange City Photographers Club in Nagpur.
- 2018: This was THE year, Quick Academy of Video Editing was established with the work stations, editing bays, classrooms and all the facilities that would help a student to learn better.

To be successful in this role, a video editor must have creative and artistic skills.
